AUTHOR
I've been writing for a long time and publishing since 2006. I wrote a series of novels on topics related to emergency management. The trilogy is called "The Lakedge Disaster Series" and includes:
- The Return of the Spanish Lady
- The Curse of El Niño
- The Harness of the Riviera
I also write short stories. I am currently working on a number of short stories with biblical themes. I have many other ideas underway with enough to keep me busy writing for the next twenty years at least. I also occasionally write articles for magazines and newsletters. Find out more on all my writings in the "MY BOOKS" pages.
TEACHER
I teach part-time at York University and Sheridan College in the Greater Toronto Area. I teach Emergency Management, Crisis Communications, Pandemic Planning and Business Continuity.
My teaching is very practical since I teach what I live. I can speak of these topics because I work at them on a daily basis.
LECTURER
I give lectures and presentations on topics related to Emergency Management and Business Continuity. I bring in years of experience in the field including most recently working on the repatriation of people from Haiti to Canada.
I have been asked to present on these themes at local, national and international conferences on a regular basis and I give an average of one lecture or presentation a week. Please contact me should you wish to hear about any of these topics or to hear first-hand accounts of having responded to many emergencies and disasters.
